Review of Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

OH MY HEART! I nearly positive that my heart is broken because of this book. The ups, the downs, the romance. I was laughing, I was crying, I was smiling, I was frowning. This book had me worried for Madeline, happy for Madeline. It was like I was there, right there beside them. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!

Madeline is a eighteen year old girl who's been stuck inside her house for all of her life. She has a terrible disease called SKID which means she is allergic to the world. If she goes outside, she will die. Then a new boy moves in next door. (Cliche right? but it totally works for the story) He's graceful and spider-man-like. Madeline stalks him from inside her bubble until they finally connect over the internet.

Anybody who hasn't read this book, needs to read it, like now. Right this very second. Go to your local bookstore / library and read this book. I promise you won't regret it! Nicola Yoon is an amazing writer. This book is a quick read with pictures, lists and very short chapters. Plus, as a bonus the movie release for this book comes out May 17!

People talk about books bringing them on a emotional rollercoaster, I could definitely feel the hills in this book. That is all I will say for my non-spoiler review, read the book and come back to check out my spoiler review.

The beginning of the book says "I've read many more books than you." I don't even know why I like this line so much, maybe because it's true? I'm not sure.

This book gave me a heart attack exactly four time. First, when Olly ran up the wall and did a back flip or whatever. Second, when Madeline rushed out of her house when Olly was fighting with his dad Third, when Madeline left her mom to go to Hawaii with Olly. And finally fourth, when Madeline "died". But there were always happy moments to follow. First when Olly landed the backflip. Second when Madeline was safe back inside. Third when Madeline and Olly had a lot of fun in Hawaii. Fourth when Madeline came back to life. Typical books. ;)

Overall, this book was pleasing. The lists and doodles allowed me to see into Madeline's head a little bit more and allowed for a quick read, one of the quickest I've read lately.

I hope you enjoyed! Until next time,
