Top Ten YA books I need to Reread ASAP

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well and live in places where it is nice and warm outside! This week, I've decided to let you know which books I want to reread and which books you should definitely try and read soon!

1. The Selection by Kiera Cass-
If you have been following my posts on this blog recently you would know that I love the Selection. I really want to reread and can't wait to actually do it!

2. Compulsion (Heirs of Watson Island) by Martina Boone and Persuasion also by Martina Boone-
I read these books some time ago and I have recently discovered that there is a third one! Now, I want to reread these books so that I can read the third one!

3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard-
This is another book I am obsessed with. It's been about two years since I last read it so I would really like to reread it soon.

4. Caraval by Stephanie Garber-
I read this book only a couple months ago but it was incredible. It makes me want to read it over and over again!

5. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi-
Another one where I have the second book but barely remember what happened in the first book.

6. Eve by Anna Carey-
I remember most of what happened in this book but I just want to make sure I have all of the details covered before moving on with the series

7. The Silenced by James DeVita-
I read this book sometime last year and immediately fell in love! I need to rehash my love for it soon with a reread!

8. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken-
I don't even remember how long ago I read this book, but it was really good! I need to reread it before I move onto the next book.

9. The Siren by Kiera Cass-
Even though I'm a huge Kiera Cass fan, it took me a while to read this book the first time. I didn't want to be disappointed. I had no need to worry though, it was incredible. It definitely deserved a reread.

10. A List of Cages by Robin Roe-
I literally just finished this book, but it was so good! I definitely loved it and it needs a reread!

Perks of being a Wallflower

Perks of Being a Wallflower is a story told through letters. It follows the tale of a young boy named Charlie. Espresso Patronum explained very well on her Monday post what was happening this week, so if you haven't read her post yet, go check it out! In short, Espresso Patronum and I gave each other books to read and review. She gave me Perks of Being a Wallflower.

There are so many aspects of this book, that it would make it very hard to describe. Instead of writing a review, I will answer some questions on it but beware because their will be spoilers.

Now, if you haven't read this book yet, I definitely suggest reading it. It is a quick read and an incredible story. I found that it was full of rollercoasters for your emotions.

* SPOILERS AHEAD; READ WITH CAUTION!*

Question 1: On a scale from one to ten, how would you rate this book?

Answer: 7

Question 2: Did you enjoy this book? Why or why not?

Answer: I enjoyed this book, for sure. It was complex and dealt with some real issues such as rape. Following Charlie through letters he wrote made it different than things I've read before but it was still good.

Question 3: Who was your favourite character?

Mary Elizabeth. Charlie broke her heart but she was still a sweetie. I adored her character and how she was portrayed.

Question 4: Who was your least favourite character?

Am I allowed to say Charlie? I'm just kidding. My least favourite character is Brad. He acted all lovey dovey when he and Patrick were alone but in public he shamed Patrick. I don't think it's ok to be two different people when your with different people. I was actually really happy when they broke.

Question 5: What was your favourite scene?

Oh my favourite scene was most definitely when Charlie takes over the spot in the Rocky Horror show. It made me laugh.

Question 6: What was your least favourite scene?

When Charlie realized that his Aunt Helen raped him.

Question 7: Did you like the way the book ended?

Not particularly, I wish there was more. But, this leaves it up to our imagination so it's good in that way.

I'm going to end it on that note but thank you, Espresso Patronum, for giving me this book to read and thank you readers for reading my answers to these questions!

Until next week!

The Selection review

Hey guys, how are you all doing? I am really happy because the weather is staring to warm up a bit so I can read and tan outside. Anyways for this weeks blog post we decided to mix it up a little bit. Tea-riffic and I decided that we were going to give each other books that the other person would most likely not read. After reading the book we would each do a review on the book that was given. But first I thought I would answer some questions first.

Did you enjoy the book? If not why not?

At first I did not think I was going to like it. The book is basically the bachelor meet royalty and I am not a big fan of the show. But after reading the book I fell in love.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate this book.

I would probably would given the book a rating of 9.5.

Who was your favourite character?

Probably America because she is like me in a way. I don't really care for wearing makeup and having my hair all fancy. If I was in her shoes I would probably act the same way. Big whoopty doo he is a handsome Prince but I don't really care.

Who was your least favourite character

My least favourite character is Celeste because she is mean and likes to play dirty like when she ripped Americas dress because she wanted to wear it.

What was your favourite scene?

I really enjoy the scene where America and Maxon meet for the first time. Its when Maxon first sees that America is not like other girls.

What was your least favourite scene?

I don't think I have a least favourite scene. I like every part of the book.

Did you like the way the book ended?

At first I thought the book was too short and that the author could have continued The selection in the same book. After reading some of the other books I realized the book would have been long if the whole selection happened all in one book.

That is it for this blog post. Maybe in the future we will do this again. See you all next week.
