Reading Week and Reading Challenge Update

Hey guys how are you this week? I am doing really good. At the begening of the year, I thought that reading 50 books by the end of the year would be a hard task to do. But 3 months later and I am almost half way there. The last few weeks I have been reading 2-3 books per week. I am also happy that only 2 of the books on my reading challenge list is rereads.  If you look on my list you will see that I have stared to read the Series of Unfortunate Events books. As a child I did not go up reading this series and same with the Harry Potter Series. Now as an adult, I am just starting to read these series. But the thing is I am not really good with finishing series. I started the Harry Potter series last summer and only got to the third book before stopping. The same thing is happening now with the Series of Unfortunate Events books. I only have 3 books left but right now I don't feel like finishing them. I sometimes get bored with series. I am the type of person who once I start a series I like to read them back to back and I usually don't read any other books during this time and because I read them back to back, I get bored of the series and stop to read other books and don't pick the series back up. I am hoping by the end of the summer to finish the Harry Potter series and the Series of Unfortunate Event books.

At my school after midterm exams, we get a week off. So next week I have a week off of school. I thought I would challenge myself and try to read a book a day which would add about 9 books to my reading challenge list. I am calling this week reading week. I am also challenging myself further by reading books off my tbr list. I wrote the names of books from my tbr list and put them in a cup and everyday I will pull out a name and read that book. If you want to see what books I am reading during that week, you can look on our instagram where I will be post a photo every day on what book I am reading. Our instagram is @the_readingcafe.
